1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
This is a tracking system that encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she enters school. Ransom Library is participating in this program with other Allegan County libraries, thanks to a generous grant from the Allegan County United Way and Volunteer Center. Pick up your packet today! OR create an account on the RDL page at READsquared.com and track your child’s progress online.
If you have questions about this program or need suggestions for good books to read to your preschool child, ask staff for assistance.
KidsHealth
This is a resource from KidsHealth for parents to help their kids deal with bullies. If your child is being bullied, you want to act to help stop it, if possible. You can help your child cope with teasing, bullying, or mean gossip, and lessen its lasting impact. And even if bullying isn’t an issue right in your house right now, it’s important to discuss it so your kids will be prepared if it does happen.
