KIDS Rockin’ at the Library

For budding scientists entering grades 2-6. How do geologists identify rocks? Learn through experience using such high-tech scientific tools as a magnifying glass, a penny and a nail. There will also be demonstrations of acid dissolving rock and rocks that glow in black light! Kids who complete the challenge will earn a “Rock-It Scientist” button. Design Lab Coordinator Tom Long, who is a trained geologist, will lead this fun experimental class.
