Mission Statement

The Mission of the Friends of the Ransom District Library is to support the library and its programs by fundraising, support for equipment and supplies, program sponsorship, volunteer services and other ways as requested by the Director of the Library or the Library Board of Trustees.

Adopted March 2009

Donations Needed!

We appreciate your donation of new or gently used books (copyright 2000 or later), DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. Please deliver bagged/boxed items to the circulation desk. If you have questions about a potential donation, please contact us at friendsransomlibrary@gmail.com.

Books for Sale

The Friends of Ransom District Library has a room of their own in the new library! Used books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books are available to browse and purchase every day during library hours. Most books are $1 or less. Every purchase helps support your library!

Volunteering With the Friends

The Friends of the Library support the activities of the Ransom District Library by raising funds and assisting with Library programs. The Friends meet 6 times a year in January, March, May, July, September and November. Meetings are on the second Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon.

The Friends are actively seeking new members. This is a great volunteer opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home moms, or anyone who loves the Library and wants to help! Call the Library at 269-685-8024 for more information about joining, or click to download a brochure/membership application.
