Mission Statement

The Mission of the Friends of the Ransom District Library is to support the library and its programs by fundraising, support for equipment and supplies, program sponsorship, volunteet services and other ways as requested by the Director of the Library or the Library Board of Trustees.

Adopted March 2009

The Friends of the Library support the activities of the Ransom District Library by raising funds and assisting with Library programs. They hold bi-monthly booksales and also maintain an ongoing booksale inside the Library. The Friends are actively seeking new members-this is a great volunteer opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home moms, or anyone who loves the Library and wants to help! Call the Library at 269-685-8024 for more information about joining the Friends of the Library.

Friends of Ransom District Library News

The Friends of Ransom Library would like to thank all the people who volunteer to help with the sorting and sales of the donated books.   We can always use more help with the set-up and take-down on the sale days.   Money from these events is used for library programs and materials.    Please consider becoming a volunteer or donating books.  When we aren't having a sale, books are available for purchase on the rotating carrels behind the fiction stacks and on the book shelves directly in front of the main library desk.

Friends of Ransom District Library President,

Janet Ragainis

Don't forget the Friends Book Sale Shelves!
The Book Sale Shelves (behind the coffee counter) hold our best sale materials and are regularly restocked with the finest selection. Find books for all ages and of all types: fiction and nonfiction, hard cover and paperback. There is also a rack of movies and audiobooks for sale. These items are available for browsing and purchasing everyday during library hours!

DONATIONS NEEDED!
If you are cleaning house and have audiobooks, CD's, books or DVD's consider donating them to Ransom.
Don't forget: Donations are tax deductible, too!
All money made is used for future book purchases and special programs. Most books are $1 or less!
